The Creative Performer: Actor’s Intensive Series
About Course
Acting is an expressive art. In this class you will learn to blend imagination, emotion,
and embodiment to stand out at your next performance or audition. Each 4-week
module explores a different approachs to performance & perfect for actors at any level.
Modual 1 – Presence & Flow
Awareness, grounding, and authenticity.
Students learn to quiet the inner critic, connect to impulse, and inhabit the present
moment through movement and sensory-based exercises. This Module builds trust in
intuition and presence — the foundation of truthful acting.
Module 2 – Voice as Instrument
Expressive range and vocal connection.
Through breathwork, resonance, and storytelling, students explore how voice reveals
emotion and intent. They’ll work on freeing natural sound and finding vocal choices that support character and story.
Module 3 – Physical Storytelling
The body as a storyteller.
Movement-based character exploration using gesture, rhythm, and energy. Students
learn to communicate emotion and narrative physically, without relying on text — a
study in clarity, embodiment, and expressiveness.
Module 4 – Building Character
Creating dimensional, authentic people.
Students explore inner motivation, backstory, relationships, and transformation. Through improvisation and exploration of archetypes, they build characters that feel lived-in and real — from the inside out.
Module 5 – Storytelling & Monologue Creation
Crafting and performing original or adapted monologues.
Students write, refine, and embody short solo pieces inspired by personal experience,
imagination, or prompts. The emphasis is on truthful storytelling and finding each actor’s unique artistic voice.
Module 6 – Script Exploration
Deep reading, analysis, and interpretation.
Students study text to uncover rhythm, beats, objectives, and subtext. They learn to
approach any script like a detective: asking questions, discovering clues, and bringing
the page to life through analysis and discussion.
